 Born in Alaska before it was a state.

Third generation Portlander.

Entered the darkroom with my father at age 6.

Three summers as a commercial fisherman.

Arrested on my 18th birthday.

Cooked in a steak and seafood house.

Substitute taught middle school in Massachusetts.

Sold used and rare books in San Francisco.

Studied in the New College of California Graduate Program in Poetics.

Published poetry in multiple literary magazines.

Married with two kids.

Advertising copywriter for 28 years.

Picked up a camera again in 2001.

Epiphany in the Met cafe that I had abandoned my muse.

Vowed to finish life as a photographer.

Moved to Maupin, Oregon for the snakes and fish.
